What is a Micro Controller?
A micro controller is a small computer on a single integrated circuit that contains a processor core, memory, and can be programmed.

Micro controllers are everywhere and inside many of the electronics you use on a daily basis. They automatically control products and devices such as home appliances, remote controls, office machines, power tools, toys, automobile engine control systems, implantable medical devices and other embedded systems.

Micro controllers are small, affordable and programmed using simple programming languages – all this has makes them accessible to the general public, scientists,inventors, artists and students.

What is Open Source Hardware?
Open source hardware is physical technology designed and offered in the same spirit and manner as free and open source software. Open source hardware is part of the open source culture movement – this means that information about the hardware is often shared and more easily discovered
